This listing is for a custom, one of a kind pet* portrait. Each painting is attentively thought-out, sketched, and lovingly painted onto professional quality watercolor paper using gouache paints.

Process:
1. You select which dimensions you want (all sizes fit standard matting for ease of framing) and purchase this listing.
2. You send me a message with a description of your pet and at least two reference photos (a variety of angles to fully show markings is always helpful)!
3. I develop a concept and send you a pencil sketch for your approval.
4. If you have revisions to be made, I make a revised sketch and send back to you (two rounds of revisions are budgeted for in this process).
5. Once you have given your approval, I create the painting using high quality materials and send you a photo of the completed piece.
6. I package your original painting in an acid-free cellophane sleeve, protective inserts, and a bend-proof mailer.
7. You receive your one of a kind work of art, ready to be matted, framed, and cherished for years to come!

*Most of my pet portraits are of dogs, cats, and domestic animals. But if you're dying to have a painting of some sort of large, carnivorous predator, let me know and I'll see what I can do :) Just keep in mind that it helps to have a sense of the animal's personality for developing the concept of the painting and I'll need a minimum of two reference photos.
